Mural intervention for “Mito project” support by @wol_urban_regeneration

Dedicate to farmers, my myths, the titans of Sicily and southern Italy. I represented the harvest of wheat, the gold that nourishes us. In this period we miss it, even if, once upon a time, in Sicily, wheat was cultivated throughout the Roman Empire. Now, the agreements, the “laws” seem to have disappeared from this land.

This is my interpretation of the “Ratto di Proserpina”, Goddess who, together with her mother, was the protector and creator of the harvest. An ancient and ancestral tradition, which, like the cult of this Goddess, risks disappearing, in a world that is increasingly moving away from sound Greek philosophical values, and is moving closer towards the era of technology and production.

We must preserve and praise it, as this ancestral tradition is part of our deepest origins.
