A tribute to those who spent their childhood and adolescence in close contact with the woods of this land, gathering the fruits that the trees have always offered. I found a connection between the trees and their “wrinkles,” and the elderly who now inhabit this territory, rich in wisdom and simplicity. I painted a smile hidden behind the falling leaves.
Everything is cyclical: the leaves fall, but Life does not stop; they become nourishment for the earth, which in turn gives Life back to the trees.

I met the residents of the retirement home “La Residenza”, and I photographed them to capture a single moment. To remember. Because perhaps one of the greatest fears of human beings is precisely that of being forgotten.
